Scum Shots
One drunken night in 2016 led to the creation Scum Shots by Ricky Vega and Jamie Crispino. The idea was to make a surf punk band inspired by the likes of Wavves and FIDLAR amongst many others. That same night most of the first album was written. However, at the time the plan for Scum Shots was to only release one album during the downtime of both Ricky and Jamies then bands. Though that’s not what ended up happening.The sound and direction of the band has matured with time with many of the songs becoming longer, but still approached with the same punk attitude. They touch on everything from punk, surf punk to garage, alternative, ska, and reggae . Scum Shots has also become known for their extremely high energy live shows that the Coney Island film fest dubbed “a buckshot blast to the senses”.
