Jenny O. is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Her latest album, Spectra, is a collection of psychedelic pop songs, useful mantras, and electric proclamations of love for nature, self, and others. Ognibene (O.) grew up on Long Island, New York, singing in rock n’ roll cover bands, playing bass in orchestras, and recording on her father’s reel-to-reel tape recorder. In the early 2000s, she studied jazz and wrote trip hop in NYC before making her way to California and back to rock n’ roll, R&B, folk, or whatever suits the song. Jenny O. has released six albums and toured with the likes of Leon Russell, Violent Femmes, Sixto Rodriguez, Father John Misty, and performed on recordings by Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jonathan Wilson, Conor Oberst, and Jim James.
